Transportation Services Professional Travels The Road To The Ranks Of Stanford Who's Who
Reba Malone has been recognized by Stanford Who's Who for her spectacular work in the Transportation Services Industry.


SAN ANTONIO, TX, February 6, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Reba Malone has been recognized by Stanford Who's Who for her spectacular work in the Transportation Services Industry. As Principal of Reba Malone & Associates and throughout her incredible career, Reba has consistently performed at an outstanding level.

Reba Malone provides financial consulting services for the transportation industry as well as manufacturing buses. She began her career in transportation in 1976 when she was appointed to the San Antonio Transit Board by Mayor Lila Cockrell. While working for the Board she worked toward the adoption of the sales tax that helped form Via Metropolitan Transit, San Antonio's public bus system.

Malone was also an integral part in the formation of the Southeast Business and Professional Women's (BPW) Club in San Antonio in 1974. She methodically rose through the ranks of district and state offices, heading towards her eventual appointment as president of BPW Texas in 1985. Reba also served on the Via Metropolitan Transit Board for 9 years, during which time the Alamo City Street Car was approved.

All of Malone's diligence paid off as she was the first woman to serve as chair of the APTA Board, which she held for two terms in 1987 and 1988. It was during this time that the American Public Transportation Foundation was organized under her leadership. Reba served as the first chair of the APTF and still remains on the board.
