Miss Pip Cowan has been accepted among the ranks of leading professionals with Stanford Who's Who as a result of her exceptional effort in the Logistics Industry.
PROSERPINE, QLD, AUSTRALIA, July 18, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Miss Pip Cowan has been accepted among the ranks of leading professionals with Stanford Who's Who as a result of her exceptional effort in the Logistics Industry. As Manager of Hamilton Island Enterprises' freight consolidation company on the mainland at Proserpine, as well as throughout her incredible 20 years in the business, Miss Cowan has consistently displayed the dedication and diligence necessary to be successful in the business world.
The company is a freight consolidating business which delivers freight out to Hamilton Island, Daydream Island, Long Island and South Molle Island. They deal with all freight companies, be it intrastate, interstate or overseas. Hamilton Island has its own airport and air freight can be sent directly to the island via Australian Air Express.
Miss Cowan's professional background is in logistics, warehousing, freight and shipping, particularly in heavy industry and commercially in the maritime industry. She began in the freight industry due to the fact that she lived on a boat and worked on the sea. She was never back on the land to see her friends or family and she did not want to lose her love of the sea. So she chose to make her working career on land. She started with Bechtel Australia many years ago who employed her to operate their large forklifts. They were impressed by her driving skills and maintenance care factor.
Getting her start in warehousing and logistics, Miss Cowan eventually moved up to supervision and management. She was always fortunate that when construction finished on a project, the operating company took her on as their employee. Pip attributes her success to being open and honest as well as having the privilege of meeting people from all over the world in her business and sailing ventures. She also credits her 'can do' attitude and focus on customer service.
During her educational career, Miss Cowan earned a diploma in Business Management as well as a Master's Degree Class 5 in Maritime. She is in the process of writing a short story about a 32' Couta timber boat built in Hobart in 1929, which she purchased and restored. The boat has a colorful Australian history, including drug running, alcohol smuggling and being shipwrecked.
