James E. Lamm Jr was a heavy equipment mechanic for the City of Tacoma for 20 years

TACOMA, WA, May 19, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- James E. Lamm, Jr., Retired Heavy Equipment Mechanic for the City of Tacoma, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in government services.

With 35 years if professional experience including five years of owning and operating his own business - Jimmy's Fleet Service - Mr. Lamm attributes his success to his upbringing, honesty and the support he receives from his family.

As a heavy equipment mechanic, he was in charge of repairing loaders, trucks, heavy machinery and performing welding.

He previously served in the US Army, which included a tour in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969.

Mr. Lamm considers his finest accomplishment to be his 38-year marriage to his wife, Janie, who passed away almost two years ago from cancer. Together, they raised eight children; four boys and four girls, and have 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He still feels the loving presence of his wife in their home.

Additionally, Mr. Lamm serves as an extraordinary minister of the Holy Eucharist at Saint Ann Catholic Church. He holds certifications in mechanics.
