Elizabeth Graves Named Executive of the Year in Railcar Technology Systems
As Account Executive of GLNX Corporation and CEO of her own company, Ms. Graves evinces extraordinary management skills
SPRING, TX, July 12, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ --Elizabeth Graves, Account Executive for Internet Technology for GLNX Corporation, has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Executive of the Year in Railcar Technology Systems. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.
For more than a quarter of a century, Ms. Graves has developed her expertise in computer technology, accounts management and problem resolution. She currently lends her talents to GLNX, a railcar leasing and management company founded by her father, and she is charged with maintaining the company's website and database, managing customer accounts, and problem resolution. Ms. Graves is proud to be associated with GLNX, which has been serving blue chip companies across North America since 1975. This year marks the company's 35th year of operation. The value-added services provided by GLNX have benefited both small-sized companies and Fortune 500 enterprises that transport a wide variety of products used in the oil and petrochemical, food, plastics, and agricultural industries.
Previously an account manager for the company, Ms. Graves has progressed throughout the past 10 years due to her curiosity about the railroad industry and her personal commitment to expanding and improving GLNX. Notably, she helped build most of her company's computers and has worked to upgrade and improve the web-based tracking and tracing services provided by GLNX. Ms. Graves started working with computers when she purchased her first Apple IIC and has progressed through every version of Windows to modern servers and RAID arrays. In addition, she upgrades and optimizes new technology as it becomes available. Also an entrepreneur, Ms. Graves owns a 3-D animation company entitled 2G Motion Animation, which provides character animation and motion capture services. Dedicated to the business, she expects to expand it in the coming years.
Ms. Graves earned a master's degree from Bryn Mawr College and a Bachelor of Arts in Greek from The University of Texas at Austin, from which she graduated summa cum laude. For her vocational excellence, she received the Keith L. Ware award from the U.S. Army and the Bryne-Rubel Traveling Fellowship award from Bryn Mawr College. Looking ahead, she hopes to lead GLNX to increase its tank car ownership by at least 25 percent and double the number of Web customers.
