As a Special Class Instructor Driver with Pacific National Bulk Rail, as well as throughout his brilliant professional career, James has routinely demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.

Mr. Styles is a Driver Specialist/Team Leader who is responsible for determining the train operating strategies for all types of trains on specified corridors; conducting classroom or simulator instructional duties; evaluating and qualifying Trainee Drivers to Locomotive Driver; and for the general coordination and monitoring of on the job training for Trainee Drivers and Locomotive Drivers. He is also responsible for establishing, maintaining and monitoring train operating standards ensuring that training of Train crews meets the operating criteria for Pacific National as per the agreed position description.

During his collegiate career, James earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Monash University. He serves as National Vice President of the Rail, Tram and Bus Union and Senior Vice President, Victorian Branch, Rail Tram and Bus Union. James is also National Vice President of the Public Transport Union and an RTBU Victorian Locomotive Divisional Committee Member.
